"iAmCraZae"..... Smile

Living in the shadow of an entertainment icon is a tough call for any young child protégé, and stepping out of the shadow of a successful relative is a battlefield where many fall. Whitney Houston, Stella McCartney, Charlie Sheen and Jaden & Willow Smith have succeeded against all the odds by being remarkably gifted in their own right. And now we are about to witness the addition of one more such remarkably gifted sibling to that list......

Being the daughter of one of Reggae music’s royalty is the mission impossible that Alizé Levy (daughter of the multi million selling and multi award winning Jamaican vocalist Barrington Levy) has taken on with the swagger and attitude of a kick arse Femme Fatale aiming to make her own mark on the entertainment industry.

Following in the foot prints of and embracing the 'by any means necessary' philosophy of female icons like Cleopatra, Boadicea, Madonna, Grace Jones, Tina Turner, Beyonce and Gaga is the road that Alizé Levy is strutting down with an #iAmCrazaè type sass that only she could pull off!

The first single from a remarkably refreshing dance album is the infectious and summery debut 'Smile' and just like Boadicea when she rode naked on horseback amongst her people Zaé (aka Alizé) courted controversy and risked arrest in order to film a daring and risqué video for her single 'Smile'.

Dressed in a revealing and spicy outfit (of matching basque suspenders and high heels) Zaé wowed shoppers and city gents (on their lunch break) with an impromptu live performance of the song whilst walking through the streets of the Square Mile, Leadenhall Market, Brick Lane and Spitafields Market!!!

Video director Akpe Ododuru said “doing what Alize did took real balls! We had black cabs parked at strategic points all around the filming areas in case the police tried to arrest us. The plan was that we would run in different directions, jump in cabs and escape arrest. Actually thinking back the city gents were so taken in by the vision of this sexy black diva walking through the streets 'dressed to kill' that I'm sure they would have done anything to protect her from the long arm of the law”!

IT'S OFFICIAL... I'VE PUT MY AHHH ON A DIET!

Yea yea yea I can hear you KMT-ing and passing remarks like, "What she tryna lose... Her mind? lol
I'm not fat I know but I need to tone up, I've been slacking instead of maintaining my sexy if you know what I mean. I wanna be able to stare at my abs in the mirror and get turned on! Straight up!! lol I've even chosen names for each one of my 6 packs to come.... I've got issues... we know!
Its just the work out part that I haven't got my head around yet ;-/ But I'll get there ;-)

Have a great day everyone xxx

"Famous By Default" Now Available on iTunes!!!

It seems I was the last to know!? Either that or the email got spammed and thus deleted ... But yes I am proud to announce that Famous By Default can now be bought via iTunes for all my die hard iTunes fans...

Again Dandelion thank you very much for the advice I shall most definitely start doing this. I will keep you posted ;-)

???Marketing..... Baffled!

As promised its me again... since releasing the album it has occured to me that I may have a knack for singing and song writing even acting like an idiot every Thursday and Sunday but I have not got the faintest idea how to market myself! it doesn't help that I'm a bit of a recluse off stage either. Some people make it look so easy but I seriously want to cry... it's excrutiating mind boggling!

Here is my train of thought on the matter:

Write the song... time consuming but pretty easy
Record the song.... Frustating but fun
Mix & Master the song.... EASY I just watch ;-p
Release the song.... easy peasy
Sit back and watch the money roll in... Errrrrm about that..... ;-(

It occured to me that if the not many people know of the ever delightful Alize Levy, then how the hell will they know to buy my music! That's when my headache and depression started!!!  Social networks dont seem to be working much, reverse psychology worked for a second lol. What am I not doing? At this rate I should have called my album "Not Famous & Broke" LMAO... I can see you, Dont laugh its not funny!

It's Been a While ;-/ Sorry

I'd like thank Dandelion for reminding me that I need to update my blog, pics ect more regularly ;-) I did get into the mind set that the site is up and that's that but I can see how boring it looks now lol... Forgive me!

So what been going on in zaeland?

As you know my debut album "Famous By Default" has now been released (I'm so happy!!!) and is available via my website shop, cdbaby.com among others. I am waiting for the album to go live on itunes, I will keep you posted.

I have been going through a rather bizzare patch of luck some would say and would like to thank Raul "Bones" Dunkely from RD Multimedia for hooking me up with all my promo designs, Eddie Gordon for believing in my album enough to promote the album on media2radio, Frank Herzog from publishing services online for sending me a free batch of Promo cd you guys have been truely amazing!!!!

I recently performed at the SX Festival, it was a horribly rainy day and trust me to be in super duper high heels! (The higher the heel the better I feel!) but besides that I did my thang ;-) I have since seen the footage via youtube and decided to go on a diet though loool oh my!!! I have definitely enjoyed one too many rice n' peas & chicken with way too much gravey dinners ;-/

I am set to head to the US from September for a tour, I seriously cant wait...  I will be in Atlanta then Miami, there are more dates to come

You can also catch me performing Worst Nighmare on Initiation TV dont forget to vote for me ;-)

OK I'm going to leave it there for the moment but I'll be back after I have finished my Dragon Stout ;-D

Have a good one!

Seriously What is it with some people!

Hey everyone,

I've decided to have a belated rant and rave about an issue I cant seem to let go of. So here goes....

I recently did the video for "Cry" for which I needed a few people to play the "Role" of police officers. All seemed quite simple in my mind, I'd just offer the parts to a few of my friends and family who had wanted to be involved in my previous video. I gave them a call got the desired answer I was looking for, Only to find out that they actually had no intention....wait for it...wait for it

OF MESSING UP THEIR STREET CREDABILITY BY PLAYING THE "PART" OF A POLICE OFFICER IN ME VIDEO!!!!!

ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!  O.M.G.  IT'S JUST BLOODY ACTING!!!

Anyway, I thought it was a joke until they stopped answering my calls 2 days before the shoot. All I seemed to be getting was the old "Your call has been forwarded to the (O2/T-mobile/Virgin) voicemail center, Please leave your message after the tone"

Now please correct me if Im wrong but until you got your own foundation i.e. property; stability i.e Job (a proper one which wont get yo ass arrested!!) ; and a life in general in my mind you dont have NO credability!! The cheek of it!!

Now dont get me wrong I'm not saying it's all about material thing's here, but I do believe everyone should aspire to have their own foundation and NOOO having a council flats whilst being in reciept of housing benefits doesn't count! I'm talking about your dream home council or not with the all important but undesired mortgage. Sod the car's and bling they either get stolen or damaged and thus devalue instantly especially car's. I wont lie... Zae want to be a millionaire so I shall stick to Primark costume Jewerlly and my old friend T.F.L (that's transport for london i.e Bus, Train or Tram for all those who dont live in London)

Anyway these individuals know who they are..I still love them loads but come on.... Ridiculous would be an understatment.

P.s. I shant be asking you again!

Anyhoooo if anyone has any comments please do feel free to rant and rave with me. It's good for the soul ;-)
